Reflection #1

Thoughts on Standard 2.7

Data helps guide decision-making on several issues in education. It gives administrators and teachers a candid look into what is working and what isn't. From there, school staff can utilize change to increase performance goals for learners. Data gained through less invasive measures like surveys will give the academic team pertinent information on students without prolonging solution-based efforts.

Reflection #2

Relevance to my practice

Data is crucial in my program, primarily because it is grant funded. The information breaks down our learners' success rates and signifies our staff's needs regarding resources. The data used is not just academic-based. Because of our partnership with the N.J. Department of Labor, job or post-secondary school placements are the center of how the state evaluates us.

Project #1 Leading Data Analyzation Meetings

The data analysis project allowed me to focus on some of the executive dysfunction my students have experienced since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Through the use of surveys and observation, we were able to pinpoint two primary areas where our learners are struggling. Data analysis is important for our program, mainly since we are grant-funded.
